The brief was initially to develop a logo (without symbol) in Hebrew for a fictitious publisher and explore the meaning of the word in question. The received a list of possible words and I chose the word פולמוס (pulmus) which means controversy.
For the logo, despite the difficulty and lack of experience with the language, I explored the similarity of some letters in Hebrew among themselves and reflected the first 2 letters to form the last two, emphasizing the concept of controversy. Also, thinking of an identity system, I defined that, from mathematical measures, the logo could increase its height and fit the spine of the books.
After several experiments and the final result, we had to develop a series of books of different sizes for the publisher. We received a list of great Israeli personalities to choose from. Throughout the classes, I developed several options until achieving the final layout for the series.
