Carlos Eduardo Braverman Bocai is a graphic designer from Rio de Janeiro based in New York City and currently working as a designer at &Walsh. In 2019, he won The Design Kids Awards and the Latin American Design Awards in the Branding category. He graduated in 2018 in Visual Communication at PUC-Rio. In 2015 he had an exchange experience at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, Israel.
From 2018 to 2019, he's worked at creative studio Gretel as a design intern. Prior to that, He has worked at Junior Enterprise PUC-Rio and Brazilian creative studio TUUT between 2016 and 2017. In July 2017 he had an exchange experience at Atolón de Mororoa in Montevideo, Uruguay, considered studio of the year by the LAD Awards 2016. In February 2017 he was selected among 18-30 years old designers from all over Latin America as a young talent and made a presentation in the 2016 edition of Latin American Design Festival in Lima, Peru. In October 2017 he co-founded Anywhere Studio with Julia Aguiar, working remotely with the construction and management of brands, mainly in the art, culture and fashion fields.
His practice crosses different disciplines, from brand identities and strategy, typography and editorials to exhibition design. In his work, meaning and aesthetic walk together. He believes in design as a powerful voice, interested in projects with social relevance and that impact the society in a positive way. Also, he thinks that collaborations are enriching and constantly attempts to collaborate with different people of varied perspectives.
